I have been enthralled by “clicky” keyboards for the longest time so I finally bit the bullet so to speak a mechanical keyboard~!

Sadly, it isn’t the exact “clicky” one that I wanted due to me having to be mindful of my family but it shall do quite nicely for now~. The one that I bought is the Rosewill RK9000BR. The “BR” stands for ‘brown switch’ since it has the Cherry MX Brown switches under each and every key. I shall get it most likely be the 1st of next month so I shall do a writeup about it pretty soon while typing on it. I’m so excited… makes up for a lot of not so great things that have been happening in my life recently… but anyway on the ways of musical progress. I have picked up renoise (At least the demo for now) and I have been messing around with it.

It isn’t the best thing ever since this is my first attempt with renoise and this genre. But I’m working on it. I’m also thinking about including my DS-10 plus with it if I can’t find good enough synth instruments… so a tad more diverse style I guess. Anyway, this is it for now and since I will be getting that keyboard soon. I’m sure I will be writing a tad more often haha… so until next time.

First off, I’m planning to use as many panels as I can to make the sound for Remnet nice as well as rework a few of the instruments that I have. To me it sounds alright. But then again I use headphones so it probably doesn’t help with the quality. Not to mention my ears get weird sometimes. But I digress…

Secondly, I’m trying to continue my studies at a local college. But I apparently missed a cutoff date to get myself on the right track for the spring semester so I can’t continue until most likely the summer semester. But I guess that I’ll have to do what I can until I can get things done I guess… But I’m super bummed out about it since I’d like to start up again as soon as possible and get my learn on.

And finally, I’m trying to get the 4×4=12 album review/rant out of the way. I just can’t seem to  focus on it despite it being such a passionate thing for me to write about. Its hard to collect my thoughts and I don’t want to listen to it anymore despite it being in my music collection. But I shall get it done as soon as possible. Though to be honest… I’m not liking Deadmau5′s sound much at all. It is way too immature for my tastes.

So, this is a short summary of what is going on in my life besides intense reflection and relationship stuffs which I shall never divulge on the internet. I’m done typing for now… Since I’m trying to do more frequent blog posts. So until next time…

I was trying to write up a review on the DeadMau5 album “4×4=12″ but not much luck. I felt like it was a bit too long winded but I wanted to get everything out in the open about this album. I’m a lover of electronic music but that album… is probably one of many albums I have bought (or pirated ssshh don’t tell anyone) that I truly don’t want in my collection. But alas I keep it anyway as a reminder of what not to do in the future.

I paid $7.99 for an amazon mp3 download of it and if I could I would get a refund for it. Every time I run into it on my phone when I’m  out and about and such. I’m reminded how much I dislike it. Anyway, I shall have a formal write up of it finished soon. I also have some other interesting news…

A few months ago, I went on a trip to Washington. It was the best experience of my life. I also touch upon that trip briefly in my album writeup but anyway. I never thought that I would ever have a chance to go to Seattle or Washington in general. It was well worth the money and saving up for it. I really hope to go back again. Granted, I was told many times that I got lucky with the weather. But that is what made it all the more worth it. The place is just so interesting. I can’t wait to get see my friend “Duckmaster” again. But I digress I should really end this anyway, I have a few other things to talk about though… so here they are in short summary.

I have one more song (Maybe two) coming up before I take a turn for the worst and just retire from composing for a bit. My composing habits are horrible and I just need to take a step back for a few months while I try to get some things in order. Also, I’m working on getting up in the world so I am not “wealthy” but for the most part “Well off” in life. So I can actually do stuff during the year that I can enjoy… not like working at a retail place. It blows… so much. In fact, once I get stuff in my life stable and I can scrounge up enough dough, I will be working on a proper PC setup and maybe buy a copy of FL Studio and some music gear, get some lessons in music and such and just go at it. I need to evolve my sound and right now it is going nowhere without practice.

So that is it for now. I feels like I have more to say but I honestly don’t besides the fact that the Dan Veytia “Turn It Around” podcast is the best thing ever for electronic music. I get to hear some many styles in one hour increments its just so lovely. You can check it out on Ustream on Sunday nights at 9pm EST or on his SoundCloud account which is right… -/here\-. Alright. Here is what I have so far.. though it will probably be only one deck this time. Since its what I’m comfortable with.. dual mode is a bit too much for my head to wrap around currently.

As time goes on… I’ll be working on it more. But for now, small patches from here and there will work for the time being. That is all for now so until next time.

I finished “Sidaki” as well as a few more songs. They are on my SoundCloud account for you to listen to and hate or enjoy if you actually like it. I’ll add link in a bit.

I did have cellphone service with “Cricket Wireless” until recently. Now I have switched to Virgin Mobile. And I’m enjoying the Optimus V android phone I got from them. I didn’t think I would like it but I actually do.

Also, EM-Zen will be released as a EP. Since after all this time. I have only really done six tracks and have a ton of scraps. I will be touching up my Korg songs and eventually make some cover art for this release. I will do my Electroplankton EP or album later. Since I will need to acquire a decent sound editing program.

And this it for now. I apologize once again…  I really need to make this a habit.

So, to get to the point of this post. I have a new project underway. It will most likely be a part of EM-Zen… but I’m not sure. Its a song titled “Sidaki”.

I have been studying techniques for composing on Korg DS-10, and I have come up with something that I’m proud of right now. I think I’m almost done with it. I’m probably going to get some opinions on it first before I finalize it. But its coming out pretty well. I’m finding that doing this one is a lot easier then my other stuff. I’ll release it as soon as I can.

One more thing. I’m single again… fate is never kind to me. Yet I move on… and hope that I find the one for me someday… -sigh-.. Anyway, I’m going to go back to Watching the old version of “The Outer Limits”… its not bad. So, until next time….

And in other news this friday (the 24th of September of 2010). I’m going on a plane for the first time to go visit my cousin in San Diego. I’m so scared… and I don’t know what to expect but I shall do my best to not get lost in the airport…

Also, I know that I keep promising stuff like a more normal blog update and getting EM-Zen done but I’m lazy and things change… and I lose audio cables… but I shall get it done when I get it done. And that is all I’m going to say about that.

So my grand total was $66 in games… fantastic.

But I’m happy with my purchases because I have been waiting to at least get No More Heroes and KORG DS-10 Plus for a while. I just got lucky and wanted to show some love to my Gameboy Pocket since I recently dug it out of a box in my room.

I have been really wanting to build up my game system related music tools recently and KORG DS-10 inspired me to do it. So I will eventually get LSDJ and some back light mod for my Gameboy Pocket (eventually and if its possible) so that I can make it more usable for this day and age.

I will get my EM-Zen Project off the ground this summer since I have nothing but work and time to do so. So watch out for it. I have been saying I will get it done and this time I will do it. I mean it.. really…

Anyway, I’m done for now and I really need to stop spreading myself so thin when it comes to projects…

But here is a small list of what I have been doing within the last couple of months.

• I got a black Nintendo Wii
• I made an 8bc (8Bit Collective) Account and I will post stuff there that I finish
• I actually finished something today (the 12th) and its on that 8bc account
• I also uploaded Arpy the Walrus there too.
• I have been playing Monster Hunter Tri on and off and I have come to the conclusion that I really don’t like capture missions.

• I went to Animazement again this year and had tons of fun…and came home in the end with 19 cents in my checking account.
• I have been hanging out with my friends and found a place that sells “Maine Root” root beer. Best stuff in the world I swear.

And thats all I can remember for now. I’ll try to update this a bit more but I get busy and work is aggravating to no end recently… anyway to anyone who still reads this once in a while.
